Post and Duties
Preparation and management of Calls for Proposals, including analysing the topics proposed for publication, preparing the evaluation phase (selection of experts, eligibility checks of proposals), supporting the selection and final ranking;
Validation of progress and technical contents: deliverables, timetable, milestones and technical description of projects and their overall contribution to the programme objectives;
Timely preparation, validation, management and closure of Grant Agreements (both
industrial members of an ITD and Partners). This will include liaising with contributing beneficiaries, monitoring progress of research activities and providing feedback to beneficiaries and initiating actions when necessary;
Providing financial, technical and administrative information; and preparing and updating dashboards [KPIs], and analysing these to report on the execution of projects, making recommendations to the management and monitoring follow up with beneficiaries;
Conducting project reviews, including their preparation and the prior assessment of reports, and participating in project meetings and/or in dedicated progress reviews;
Assure and contribute to correct dissemination and implementation of project results (participation in conferences, monitoring of D&E obligations, promotions through papers and articles);
Report on yearly progress towards the objectives of the work plan and prepare input to the Annual Report;
Contribute to the implementation of technical activities in synergies with national
programmes and other EU initiatives (technical evaluation, progress meeting) and identify/ trigger opportunities to contribute to the research objectives of the unit;
Regularly update the Unit on technical progress beyond the state of the art and promote recent progress achieved in certain fields with the aim to identify new areas of research and challenges (technical roadmaps);
Conditions of employment
The successful candidate will be appointed by the Executive Director of the JU as a
temporary agent at AD 7 pursuant to Article 2(f) of the Conditions of Employment of Other Servants of the European Communities, for a period of 3 years, which may be renewed.
Candidates should note the requirement under the Conditions of Employment of Other Servants for all new staff to successfully complete a probationary period of 9 months.
The pay of staff members consists of a basic salary supplemented with various allowances:
Basic salary: there is a basic salary scale for each grade, divided into a few steps. For AD7 step 1 the monthly basic salary is 6 295 euro / month
Allowances: in addition to the basic salary, staff members may be entitled to allowances, such as expatriation or foreign residence allowances, family allowance, household allowance, dependent child allowance, pre-school allowance and education allowance. The net salary (after deduction of taxes and inclusion of allowances) may be equal or higher to the monthly basic salary, depending on the situation of the candidate.
